Our Two-Phase Veneers Process
Initial Visit
Your first visit to our practice will begin with a consultation, including a discussion of your smile goals and an evaluation of your teeth. You’ll need to be in good health with healthy natural teeth, as porcelain veneers involve fixing cosmetic flaws and aren’t the best choice for restoring decayed or damaged teeth. We encourage you to bring photos that show your ideal smile, but even if you don’t have photos, our cosmetic dentists will use their artistic skills and technical experience to design your brand-new smile. No two individuals have the same unique facial appearance or smile, so it’s our goal to create a beautifully symmetrical and proportional smile just for you. We will also remove a very small portion of your teeth’s enamel to prepare your teeth for new restorations.
Second Visit
Your final visit involves putting the finishing touches on your new porcelain veneers, including polishing them to resemble shiny, translucent natural teeth. Then, we’ll ensure that they all fit perfectly over your teeth and alongside each other. With meticulous planning and designing, these final restorations rarely, if ever, need to be redone. Finally, we’ll bond the veneers to your natural teeth with a special cement, then activate the cement with ultraviolet light.
